Generally needs to be stolen with an "E to Pickup" prompt. These items cannot be traded. These items span various categories, but can only be obtained through events. Schwarzlose Prototype Pistol. An early blowback automatic pistol, 8 round magazines, good damage, and a fast fire rate. Has an insanely fast reload. Makes a pleasant dinging noise while firing. A quad-barreled Howdah pistol, designed for personal defense against big game animals. Deals lots of damage, has good accuracy, and a fast firerate.
Low capacity and an average reload. Sends dead bodies flying. A cut-down double barrel shotgun, it hangs on the hip. High damage, high spread, and low accuracy, along with a fairly slow reload, and average fire rate.

Ragdolls victims if they don't die.

Damage, accuracy, and fire rate all vary depending on charge time. Does not lose accuracy on horseback. Bear Traps can be placed on the ground. They last roughly a minute, at which point they despawn. Animals who step in them will take 75 damage, players will take 75 damage and be flung upwards a short distance.
Upon being stepped in, the trap snaps shut, and must be placed down again. A placeable explosive that must be connected to a Detonator to explode. Deals massive damage, ragdolls, and has longer range than the Dynamite. Placeable item that must be connected to a TNT charge. Interact with the detonator to make the TNT explode. After he comes with the mineral, the Doc tells him they must get out of town immediately as Pinkertons have been sent to arrest him for stealing and looting battlefields which he says he did in the name of science and progress.
They flee to the east, and help a seemingly injured man named Jeff Moth recover; however, Moth later steals their money and heads north; Jack chases Moth down and kills him, getting the money back. He participates in a horse race and finds out that a participant named Roskey cheated. Jack challenges him to a "real" race, wins, and obtains a Double-R.
He runs some more erands for the Doc before they flee to Olson's Hollow in order to avoid the marshals. The Doc finally explains completely why William visited him and where he went: A community called Phosphorous. Jack goes to a swamp and makes his way to Phosphorous, where he pretends to be interested in joining the society in order to learn where his brother is. He helps out some locals and the deputy sheriff. Jack rescues Preston Sirk 's wife, who was about to be killed for trying to escape, and brings her to Preston, who then tells him how to get close to Phosphorous's leader Phosphate , who assigns him to kill some "rats".
After he kills the " rats", they turn out to be marshals; after evading the authorities, Jack confronts Phosphate about the "rats" being marshals. Phosphate explains that the government has been trying to take down Phosphorous.
He kills several enemies before going to see Phosphate; the vast majority of Phosphorous is now dead, including Phosphate. A survivor informs Jack that William has escaped Phosphorous, and where to find him.
Jack goes back to Olson's Hollow and has a few nightmares; he goes to the entrance of a gold mine, where he asks a mysterious woman why it has been sealed down; she replies that long ago a collapse ocurred, that he will need rotweed to make a bomb and blow the seal up, and that he can find some in the desert. After killing outlaws and obtaining the rotweed, Jack blows the seal up and enters the mine, where a ghost leads him to the mysterious Man Who Walks in Darkness also known as the Man in Darkness , who tells him to listen to the darkness to learn what he wants to know.
Later the Man in Darkness tells him to capture a member of the gang The Sorrows named Jenson ; after he does so, Jenson reveals that William is the leader of the gang, and Jack blows up a series of barricades and enters a maze leading to where William is.
After successfully exiting the maze with the advice of the Man in Darkness, Jack battles the gang, killing several of the outlaws, before confronting a member more powerful than the other outlaws. Jack defeats this outlaw too, and chases him to a dead-end, killing a few more more gang members on the way. Jack engages the outlaw, who claims to be Jack himself, in a duel, with the outlaw being shot dead.
Suddenly William appears and the outlaw's corpse disappears, and William explains just what was happening. He then disappears and the mine starts collapsing again; Jack thanks William before riding out.
After Jack is outside, the collapse kills all the outlaws. Jack says he "understand[s] now", and William, his parents, and Catherine appear and congratulate him.
